And it was not able to display the Button. The problem was you were setting android:layout_width="fill_parent" for the TextView, so it took full screen width just for displaying the TextView. If you have more errors after that, try to re-import the project in Android Studio. Then pick the module (its normally app or something like that). Choose Android Application from the pop-up menu. Click Run on the menu and then Edit Configurations then click on Android Application on the left and click the + button.
